corporate identity keys / identifying keys - IMO they mean things that are associated with the organisation as part of the "brand" image. For example, in the case of the Valencia Local Authority (Spain), it could be the America's Cup, or the building of the City of Arts and Sciences, public initiatives associated with the image of the corporation in question.
