ford
Rijeku je moguće preći gazom u svakom njenom dijelu:
The river is fordable throughout its course.
"Gaz" here obviously refers to "a place in a river where you can walk across", which in English is called a ford. The verb is "to ford".
The second meanding of "gaz", which has to do with ships and boats, is indeed "draft/draught", but that hardly seems applicable here.
