Because there is (almost) no monitoring or control panel in the engine rooms and other control rooms, it is necessary to take over this monitoring and control at a central point. As far as the electrical power supply distribution, the propulsion system and the ship’s security go, the monitoring and control now takes place in the ship control center (henceforth TC).
The systems that are controlled and indicated in these areas will still be made operational "locally".
