Italian term

cameriere ai piani

Italian to English Other Tourism & Travel hotels
This is one of a list of job titles in a large hotel and I need to find a solution which could apply to either male or female applicants. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "I chose this as the title has to be non-gender specific and as broad as possible. The tone resembled the rest of the document I was translating. Thanks to everyone, Sarah"

cleaning/housekeeping staff

I believe "cleaning staff" tends to be used more in the UK, and "housekeeping staff" in the US. In the US "housekeeper" is sometimes used, whereas in the UK the housekeeper supervises cleaning staff. "chambermaid" is still used in the UK , but less and less, being gender specific.
