I think this must be referring to the negative image for the text part of the image (treated separately from the photos), isn't it?

GDT does give one possible meaning as 'proof', but this seems unlikely, given that it is on polyester.

Another possibility, though more context would be helpful.
DEF - A photographic image produced by

Dupe/negative
If it's in the photo industry, would it be a "dupe"? Or if are you talking about silkscreening or printing a pattern onto material, wouild it be simply "negative" or "pattern"?
