In one column of a table I have encountered the term “Sockel-Ladebeginn”
In the next column there is an explanation (Erklärung)
„Unterschreitet die Außentemperatur den eingestellten Wert E2, wird mindestens der unter E15 vorgegebene Wärmeinhalt geladen“.
The term comes once again in the following text:
“Sockelladebeginn (E15):
Sobald die Außentemperatur den mit Ladebeginn (E2) eingestellten Wert unterschreitet, wird auf den mit E15
eingestellten Mindest-Wärmeinhalt (0...30%) geladen. Es ist zu beachten, dass sich Korrekturen erst am
nächsten Tag bemerkbar machen. Um Fehleinstellungen zu verhindern, sollte der Wert nur schrittweise
verändert werden:
- bei zu wenig Ladung in der Übergangszeit: Sockel-Ladebeginn um 5% erhöhen
- bei zu viel Ladung in der Übergangszeit: Sockel-Ladebeginn um 5% verringern“
Can anyone give an English equivalent. I have little idea of what it can mean. For me it can be either "socket commencement of loading" or "basic commencement of loading". Can anyone help?

You text probably deals with the charging function in a (solar??) hot-water heating system.
The heating system is designed to provide a minimum (base) heating load. If required by falling outdoor temperatures, a charging (booster) pump is switched on for a short period to supply the heat necessary to maintain the base load.
The "Ladepumpe" is the charging pump (not loading, as found mainly on non-English websites).
"Due to temperature occurrences in most western geothermal locations, a base load system (geothermal) designed for approximately 60% of the peak load can actually meet 95+% of the annual heating requirement. ... Thus, they can use the heating system of choice and still achieve substantial energy savings with a base load/peak load heating system design."
