(Ich kannte den Ausdruck bisher nicht, aber er erinnert mich an ein Erlebnis aus meiner Kindheit in den frühen 60er Jahren: ein paar ärmere Kinder in meiner Klasse (Dorfschule)hatten zwar nur billige Kleider, aber die größten Pettycoats (die waren damals in)weit und breit! Nicht nur Nachbarskinder sondern auch ich (mit sicherlich teurerem Kleid) habe sie glühend beneidet - daran hat auch meiner Mutter Hinweis nichts geändert, die Pettycoats seien billige Massenware von Neckermann.)
