French term

invitations au rêve

French to English Marketing Tourism & Travel
From tourist info on a French region. I don't want to use anything with 'dream' as I don't think it sounds very English. Any suggestions?

La région offre de nombreuses invitations au rêve : Dourdan et son château-fort du XIIIe siècle, Saint-Germain-en-Laye et son château féodal construit par Louis VI le Gros* en 1122.....

invitations to journey back in time

or through history, since it seems to be about castles and such.

agree Bianca Jacobsohn : Same reason as with David's - This works well as it links up to the historical facts/dates which follow

thanks Bianca
agree Nick Lingris : Yes, "to journey back in time". How about "gives many opportunities to journey etc." in cm's text?

(stunning) historical sites or treasures/rich heritage

Something like: "the area is full of historical treasures/many (stunning)historical sites" etc.

agree Gayle Wallimann : I like that, even the stunning part.

lets your imagination wander back to medieval times

imagination for rêve.

or how tweaking about with something like "the region tempts you with many opportunities to let your imagination run wild/cast your mind back to ancient times"

will spark your imagination

" A trip to this region", or Visiting this region" will spark your imagination.
IF you don't want to use "dream", then "imagination" in English serves
the same purpose in what it suggests that "reve" does in the original text.
