I think Passolo just awful, so I'm looking for a way to translate passolo files with some other software, like Studio 2014. Can it be done?

Some Passolo 2011 versions included an add-in for export/import in TRADOS text format

And also Add-ins for transferring XML , customizable string data, etc., which can be converted to TRADOS translatable formats.

I have not tried it myself yet, but I have understood that in the new Passolo 2015 you can look up directly in the SDL Studio memory, as shown here:
If so, one could use the same workaround aforementioned but for Studio 2014. (It is in my to-do list)
One last word: Passolo is by far the best localization software I have worked with (I also have tried Catalyst, Multilizer, Sisulizer, and some other fauna). Is it user-friendly? Certainly not, as it seems to be intended for software translation and localisation specialists like me; we love complicated things, not matter how awful they seem.
