New antivirus provider?

High everybody,

I have got a new computer from Dell and it come with “Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security” [ www.trendmicro.com ] as antivirus provider.

Any one of you using the service of above company? If so please tell me about your experience in this regard. Are they reliable or I should go to McAfee / Norton?

I would highly appreciate any news or help.

I have used PC-Cillin for many years and they where really great.

Last renawal though did not go well: after paying and upgrading (as required every year) the e-mail scanning would crash my Win-XP. If I remember well there was a conflict with Trados, or something like that. I tried to use the upgrade for my old Win-ME PC but I could not get it to work there either. I complained and ask for assistance, but their Italian office (a new thing) replied a few weeks later, offering a refu... See more

In the mean time I had switched to another vendor (EZ antivirus).

It’s an excellent product and their customer service (in Sweden) goes far beyond
the call of duty.

After having an EXTREMELY bad experience with Symantec's programs and their customer service, who seem to be incapable of reading and speaking English. I sent e-mails and rang them and they kept misunderstanding and sending nonsense, automatic template replies, so what was initially a minor request, grew into a major complaint and loss of me as a customer.

I have had SO many problems with that company
