This Powwow will be held in Cairo, either in my home (Maadi) or a hotel conference room. Please mark your calendars and invite your colleagues. If you have experience in a particular field or have advice to give on such topics as using CAT tools, quality assurance, running a translation business, etc., perhaps you could share your ideas with us in the form of a presentation.

Hi,
First of all, I want to thank Michael for this good idea. I wish it will be a successful meeting. Well, I can discuss any topics related to TMs, such as Trados, Wordfast or SDLX. Also, I suggest a discussion about localization and its problems specially with regard to Arabic.

I am longing to attend. I'll be in Egypt 5-14 Jan, 10-15 April, 25 may-9 June. I hope to meet you all. Actually I have an assignment with the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs that may last 10 months in 2006. If the timing of the Powwow is decided outside these frames, kindly send me a detailed report.

The meeting will take place at 9pm on Wednesday somewhere in Dokki. Sanaa or I will post the address on this site tomorrow.
If possible, try to bring business cards, your CV, your laptop (if you want to give a software demonstration), dictionaries or language-related books you would like to recommend, etc.
