Nicole,
Just to let you let you know the Manslater has already been discussed in a previous thread, it generated a debate about sexism, stereotypes, humour, etc.

Hi Nicole,
Thanks for sharing this. It is hilarious! After watching the video I came to the conclusion that, even though we may speak in different languages, women are united by the "universal language of women" based on the same principles applicable to all languages. Case 1:
A simple "yes/no" question becomes a "single-no-answer" question eg.
Q: "Do you think I've gained weight?" Translation: This is not a question but rather my way of asking reassurance from your side. The answer should always be "No", in all circumstances and even if I insist several times with a "seriously?I won't get mad if you do". ▲ Collapse | | | Tom in London Regno Unito Local time: 02:51 Membro (2008) Da Italiano a Inglese

Hi Tom,
you seem to be pretty fluent already!

Hugo was actually saying "I love you". [/quote] | | |
Will definitively share with the missus, she'll love that.
And about the "I'm fine" or "Nothing's wrong", I once dated a girl that used that sentence a lot. It got really tiring and I gave up and developed the habit of answering "Oh, I'm glad nothing is wrong, I had an impression something was, but I must have been mistaken, silly me!" or something of the sort... it somehow didn't help, go figure! | | | A questo Forum non è stato assegnato un Moderatore Per segnalare violazioni delle regole del sito od ottenere aiuto, contatta staff sito » How to finally understand women: The Manslater!
