Bruxelles r�serve d�cid�ment des surprises. Je n'imaginais pas trouver une rue des p�cheries juste � c�t� du ring, avec un �tang et des canards !
Loin des embouteillages du centre ville, la brasserie nous avait r�serv� une salle � l'�tage avec une terrasse bien agr�able pour profiter de cette belle journ�e de printemps.

Les r�unions de traducteurs ont quelque chose de magique. Samedi on a parl� hongrois, fran�ais, allemand, espagnol, n�erlandais, anglais ... tout � la fois et sans qu'il soit besoin d'interpr�tes. La petite Lucy ne parlait pas encore mais il ne faudrait pas en d�duire qu'elle n'a pas particip� aux conversations.

Les heures ont fil� tr�s vite, si vite que j'ai � peine eu l'occasion de faire la connaissance de tous les participants. Une bonne raison pour renouveler l'exp�rience une autre fois, � Bruxelles ou ailleurs. En attendant on se retrouve sur ProZ d�s lundi.

Un grand merci � Phyllis pour l'organisation de cet agr�able moment.

I can only echo the sentiment expressed by Dominique. Phyllis just chose the perfect surroundings to hold this event - quietly tucked away from the hectic and stress of the city traffic. It was real fun to converse multilingually and talk shop with other pros. Also, she managed to get the brasserie to cater for the needs of the distinct vegetarian minority (there were four of us if I remember correctly). Chapeau! Let's hope that a "second edition" of this powwow will be held in the not-so-distant future.

Over and above the actual meeting on Saturday, we stayed for the entire weekend and used the opportunity to explore Brussels as this was our very first visit to this beautiful city.

A magnificent experience all in all!

Thanks to Phyllis, we had a wonderful afternoon. We were at least 25 people from Belgium, Holland, Germany, France and even from the Dominican Republic. Very interesting to meet such a variaty of translators from different countries. Great to exchange information, it gave me a lot of inspiration. I want to organize a Powwow in Provence now! So I hope you will all come . . . Bram Poldervaart
