| Report from NancyLynn | Qu�bec is a grand place to meet and greet friends!
Our hosts, Louise Dupont together with her spouse Andr� and her child Katherine, showed us a wonderful time by the pool in a flowery garden. It was dificult to resist the impulse to spend the hot afternoon in the comfort of their air-conditioned home, but we had such a fun crowd that mingling was even better despite the heat!
Then Henry, having travelled five hours from Syracuse, began making hunger noises, so four of us piled into his car and drove to the blessedly cool supermarket to collect a variety of goodies, meat for the BBQ, veggie delights for the vegetarians in the group, and cheese, baguettes and spring rolls for all! Having bought supper for all Henry also generously supplied some wine and beer from the conveniently located wine store(or off-license as they're known in Europe).
A lot of the talk was naturally centered on translation, but not all; there was Spanish and I believe Portuguese flying around my head as well as French and English, and it was soooo much fun, I can't wait for the next one!!
Thanks to everyone for coming! Thanks to our photographers for sharing their pictures! (I left my camera at Louise's house ;-( I was having too much fun to worry about that). Thanks to the Canada-US border for allowing Henry to come through with his laptop (after he gave a demonstration of CAT tools and what they are; I think customs officials are all the more educated as a result of our Powwow...;-) )

What a nice gathering! I had a great time and enjoyed sharing with such a nice group. Unfortunately the time went by so fast that I think we need another one... The pictures are lovely. Thanks Louise and family for the hospitality and Nancy, you are a great organizer. Hope to see you all again.

Thanks to Louise and everyone, the powwow was great fun and an occasion for a bit of a discovery - all these different points of view, and in common a love for languages! And yes, let's do it again, Cornwall, Montréal, the works!

Merci à tous et à toutes! Nous avons eu beaucoup de plaisir et j'ai appris beaucoup de choses en peu de temps. Je suis maintenant capable de mettre des visages sur des noms... Ce fut très agréable et nous allons sûrement nous revoir bientôt.
