What a day it was!!!! The weather forecast wasn't promising, but this couldn't stop a bunch of enthusiasts of the trade. The intention was to meet at the Tyndale museum but because of a misread from the organiser about the opening hours and the bad weather conditions, we fled to the Spanish café across the road. A noisy, smoky atmosphere; ideal for discussing the various facets of the profession. The attendance was small, but extremely interesting. People from all walks of life with so much experience and skill I felt humble in their presence. It was so good to hear all your stories and experiences. It was a bit of a pity that a few people missed us as a result of the plan B sidetrack, but I'm glad to have met such wonderful people. I surely hope to meet you all again during my next stay in ons "Vlakke Land". Thank you all so very much for attending!!
Hi dear colleagues, I apologies for the long absence of messages; I couldn't access the internet. I checked with the museum and it appears that they are closed at 13:00 !! I am not sure if you read this in time, so I will make sure to be there at the agreed time. Instead we can go to the drie fonteinen and simply chat about our experiences.
