PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

�E Patni Computer Systems Mumbai (From Oct. 2000 till date)

* Currently working for a 2 months onsite assignment for Hitachi-Kenki which includes translating various technical documents, minutes of the meetings etc.
  The job responsibility includes co-ordination between the onsite technical person and the project manager of Hitachi-kenki

* Assisted  technical team members to understand client requirements for Nissan project.

* Executed many translation projects with stringent deadlines. Most of them were from Hitachi Japan. Involved translation and review of technical documents from Japanese to English. Also translated marketing documents from English to Japanese. Interpretation with the clients during technical discussions.

* Provided full language related support to programmers for an embedded project where Win-CE OS is ported on a proprietary hardware of Hakko Electronics Japan. Worked as Offshore project co-coordinator and provided complete Japanese language support like teleconferencing with client and translation of specifications, Weekly Status Reports, technical queries, mails from Japanese to English and English to Japanese.

   UNISQL Project, team size: 5 (Client- NTT Japan)

Duration: 
(Jan.2000 to Sept 2000).

Scope:
The project was about a database called UNISQL, which was owned by NTT data Japan. The client use to send the executables of the product developed and it was to be tested on various platforms. The client had provided test suites to test the database, which were in UNIX shell script. 

Role in the project:
Testing of database, finding out bugs and informing to client, correction of test suite if required by client, which involved understanding the UNIX shell script. Translation of all documents from Japanese Client.

GPICO/VB Localization - team size: 5 (Client HITACHI)

Scope:
Hitachi GPico/VB is an Application development tool for Visual Basic system and an aid for activities like System Design, Program Design, Programming, and Development Process. Hitachi, Japan developed the application in VB5. This application was completely localized by us. Role in the project was translation of al the information coming from Japanese Client, like help files, emails, technical specifications, part of code (like comments and messages)

  arranged for visit to four Major cities of JAPAN in 1998, to learn the Japanese culture.

2)1st Prize in Japanese language speech contest held by R.G. Saraiya Trust in 1997
  and visited YOKOHAMA under cultural exchange program between sister cities Mumbai and Yokohama.

3)2nd in Senior NATIONAL Level speech contest for Japanese Language Students at Delhi in 1996.

4)2nd in Senior STATE Level speech contest for Japanese Language Students at Delhi in 1996.

5)Received Team Award for project of porting WinCE on proprietary hardware at Patni Computer Systems Limited (2002).
