Spanish to English: Humildad (Historia para niños) General field: Art/Literary Detailed field: Education / Pedagogy
Translation - English Humility
“Because the Lord is righteous and good, He teaches sinners the path they should follow. He leads the humble in the right way and teaches them His will (Psalm 25: 8-9)
At the garden of John ‘s house he were sitting with his friends Clarita, Joseph, and Peter.
They were sharing about the program that they were watching on TV. The program was for kids and it was dedicated to the Humility.
For Ms. P humility is a life without luxury completely, without cars, jewelry, expensive clothes, said Clarita.
For Mr. R humility is to talk soft and slowly and dressing with inexpensive clothes, said Ann.
For Mrs. A Humility is having a sad face and economically limited life.
For Mr. Y is to work with the poor and sick.
Then John remembered that his teacher had asked them to look up in the dictionary the word humility and they found this :
Humility (noun)
1. A modest or low view of one’s own importance; humbleness.
2. Low social administrative, or political rank.
Example: She came from a humble, unprivileged background.
3. A modest pretensions or dimensions.
Example: He built the business empire from humble beginnings.
Humility (Verb)
4. Lower (someone) in dignity or importance
Origin: Middle English: from Old French humilite, from Latin humilitas, from humilis (as humble)
John shared that her mother had read him a portion of the Bible where Jesus had told about humility, teaching them (people) that humility is to recognize that everything that we can do or have is a gift from God (Philippians 2:12).
It is not because we are “so good” or we are “hard worker people” and had been achieved great education with self-sacrifice and through these we to give “something” to others. Not even taking sad faces or be dressed by inexpensive clothes make us humble person (Matthew 6:1-2; 6: 16-18).
There are people with poor clothes with a proud heart and there are people with fancy clothes with a humble heart.
In the world there are different kinds of people with different needs, whether poor or rich economically and spiritually where a humble heart will always be welcome.
Peter said that his parents have taught him that humility comes from the heart and not in the appearance or good work. The good things that we do are just a consequence of the good things that God has given or working in us.
Clarita’s parents taught her that if the heart is humble it will help to the action to be honest and true beyond of the belongings because true humility comes from inside to outside and not by vice versa. It is originated in the love of God, and from there can give or bless to others in a really humble way.
Humility is to be grateful to God firstly and then the actions and appearance will come in addition. It will be reflecting to others and helping them to learn the true humility and the creator of it.

Translation - Spanish Letter mailed by Abraham Lincoln to his son’s teacher
Dear Teacher: He should learn that not all men are just, not all of them are authentic (true), but please teach him that for each villain there is a hero, for every selfish man there are a loving leader.
Teach him that for every enemy, there will be a friend
Teach him that it is better to earn a coin with the sweat of his brow (forehead) instead of a coin that has been stolen.
Teach him to learn from his defeats, but to rejoice with his victories, talk him about the envy and teach him not to be envious, give him the knowledge of the happiness from a quiet smile and be marveled with books, but let him learn from the heaven, the flowers of the field, the mountains and valleys, and with the friend’s jokes.
Explain him that is worth (worthy) an honorable defeat in spite of a shameful victory.
Teach him to believe in himself, even if he is alone in front of everyone.
Teach him to be kind with kind people and to be tough with tough people, teach him not to get in a train just because everybody does.
Teach him to listen to everybody, but in the moment of the truth make the decision by himself, teach him to laugh when he is sad, and explain him that men sometimes cry.
Teach him to ignore the crowds clamoring for blood and to fight against the whole world if he thinks what it is fair.
Treat him well, but not be indulgent, because from the proof of the fire it is known that the steel is real.
Let him to have the courage of being impatient and to have courage with patience.
Transmit him a divine faith to God and faith to himself as well, because in this way he will be able to have faith in men.
I know that I am asking a lot, but you will see what you can do, my dear teacher.

The Peter filled with the Holy Spirit, said unto them: Rulers of the people, and elders of Israel…
Peter was transformed. He was not the same Peter who had denied Jesus three times. He had not afraid anymore.

Aprender Auto dialogo (monologo) y auto instrucción lleva mucha practica.
Nivel II, Etapa 7, Actividad 73
Estás listo/a
Actividad Destacada
Participantes
Entrenador y niño/a.
Nivel II, Etapa 7, Actividad 74
Háblate a ti mismo
Actividad destacada
Paso 1 Desde mis palabras a tus palabra
Paso 4 Multi- nivel Repaso
Actividad I Juego de Rol
c. Como puedes doblar tu dinero?
Ponlo frente al espejo.
d. Que pájaro siempre está triste?
El pájaro azul.
e. Que le dijo una escoba a otra?
Has oído la última suciedad?
He hizo Tennessee?
Vio Arkansas
Niño 2: “Me gusta Mc Donals”.
Niñ0 1: “A mí también me gusta Mc Donals
Niño 2: “Me gusta Applebees”.
Paso 2: Diciendo y Preguntando

While I was growing up this interest had became an important side of my being.
Then, I have had the opportunity to meet American missionaries who came to work in Paraguay, and I really wanted to know the original message that they had been giving us.
The good thing was, that I had started working with them, and I started to learn more, and more, and later, I had became a translator with them.
I have studied English for many years.
I keep learning English.
As a translator I believe that renewing and learning the languages which we are working with, is a daily activity.
Nowadays, I can say English is my favorite second language.
In my country to become a translator, we should to know many professions and its expressions, in the way to be ready to work as interpreter and translator.
The Word of God says: His words are spirit and life (John 6:33)
“The tongue has the power of life and death”(Proverb 18:21)
Translating words is a beautiful way to know people through the message of their professions that they are given daily.
We can learn by their experiences and keep sharing with other.
I have been teaching children, young, and adults , both language Spanish and English.
Now, I am working in translation as freelancer. It will be great that we can work together.
