NOTE
In this section, only vehicle systems (i.e. chassis installed systems like power train,instrumentation…) are considered. The auxiliary systems (i.e. APU, hydraulic systems, fire suppression system…) installed on the armoured body of the vehicle are considered as separate system.
Actually, there is no connection / interference between auxiliary systems and vehicle (chassis) systems. Even power units are separate.
To have information about electrical system and electronic controls for auxiliary units, refer to section “12. Auxiliary Systems”
The electrical system of the vehicle consists of the batteries, the central electrical system, the Powertrain Manager
(PTM), the central on-board computer (ZBR) and several control units for the various electrical and electronic
components.
Electrical power supply for power train and dashboard equipment (switches, gauges etc…) is provided by vehicle
batteries that are recharged by an alternator when the engine is running.
The electrical system voltage is 24 volts provided by two batteries connected in series.
Danger of damage!
Damage to electrical components by short circuit. Therefore:
-Disconnect the batteries before working on electrical components
- Comply with the sequence for disconnecting and connecting the batteries;
- Disconnecting: First the negative lead, then the positive lead

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
