Hello! I am Maya and I am a Spanish freelance interpreter, translator and proofreader based in the United Kingdom.

At the moment, I am proofreading a fascinating travel novel and I regularly interpret (face to face, over the phone, and video call) for medical/healthcare/social services for a local translation and interpretation agency.

I love my work and I delight in connecting with clients. I am highly empathetic and I care about my client’s needs and preferences. I strive to deliver accurate, smooth and culturally sensitive and appropriate language services. 

As a translator and proofreader, I am rigorously attentive to detail and I am always eager to find the perfect word or expression. I am always proactive at learning new vocabulary and developing glossaries to give consistency to the unique tone and style of my client’s voice.

As an interpreter, I am highly skilled at listening, memorising and conveying meaning with accuracy, clarity, and natural flow. I am available for telephone, video and face to face assignments.
