Spanish term

America

Spanish to English Other Geography
This may sound like a dumb question, but how do I refer to America (the continent)?
I think that if I say America literally it may be understood as the U.S.
Should I say North, Central and South America?

Thanks!
Proposed translations (English)
4 +2 the Americas
3 +2 American Continent

American Continent

It depends on the context, if you are referring to a specific part you could use either North, Central or South, but if you are speaking about "América" as a whole you coul use American Continent
