Spanish term

real conocimiento

Spanish to English Other General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters
Al finalizar este curso, los participantes tendrán un ***real conocimiento*** de los productos elaborados y comercializados en nuestro país, pudiendo tomarlos como un referente de crecimiento en el mercado a nivel mundial.

I've been turning this sentence around for too long and I definitely cannot come up with anything.
Thanks in advance for your help!

@Yvette Apologies, I hadn't seen your entry here before posting my suggestion this morning — honest guv! ;-)
María Eugenia Wachtendorff (asker) Aug 29, 2012:
Thank you, Yvette! I did :)
Yvette Neisser Moreno Aug 29, 2012:
Consider changing sentence structure. You might consider changing the sentence structure to change "conocimiento" from a noun to a verb, i.e. "the participants will fully/completely understand..." Just a thought!

I think "understanding" fits better here; whether you prefer true/real/in-depth or practical before it is your call!

agree Yvette Neisser Moreno : I was thinking along these lines as well--"understanding" rather than "knowledge"

true knowledge

Es una forma poco frecuente, en español. Por lo general diríamos un conocimiento real, auténtico.

a 'real grasp' is an alternative.

thorough understanding

Along the same lines as Edward, but I was thinking "thorough" might capture the intended meaning here?
