Hi Wendy. I work a lot on art texts and often ask clients for images of work to make sure I come up with the right description! I know that's not always forthcoming though... Based on the information you've given, I think I've identified the artist and these appear to be graphic booklets of some kind (from FR 'plaquette', I believe). I don't know if there is a better word in EN - they are described as 'plaquettes' in this short bio of Catalan artist Ricard Giralt Miracle:
