很难比较

IMHO, both are greater than "a few" (3~5).

"Several" 大概 =< 10, and "some" 比"several"来得更加不确定。"Some"跟别的定量的词不好比较。

neutral chica nueva : IMO several and a few are much the same - about three minutes. After some minutes means after a period of some minutes - it suggests you have to wait maybe five minutes.

several minutes means many/a lot of minutes after medication (long after)
some minutes means just few minutes after medication (shortly after)

disagree chica nueva : several = more than two but not many (Collins Concise English Dictionary) IMO after several minutes is shorter than after some minutes
