Spanish term

toma de tierra de la red electrica

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Engineering (general) piscinas / swimming pools
• Never connect the electrical grid’s ground outlet to the structure or to the pool’s equipotential outlet.

• Nunca conectar la toma de tierra de la red eléctrica a la estructura o a la toma equipotencial de la piscina.

Is my English translation ok here? Thanks!

the electrical grid’s grounding/earthing

Never connect the electrical grid’s grounding/earthing to the structure or to the pool’s equipotential outlet.

In the USA "grounding" is more common, while in the UK "earthing" is more widely used.

agree Neil Ashby : In the UK we tend to say just "earth", not earthing

Thanks DrNeil TechTran, personally I think that the term "earthing" is quite use too in this context, e.g. http://www.hse.gov.uk/comah/sragtech/techmeasearthing.htm
