This is not umbilical as in "navle", but the term is used to describe a connection to a console in a hospital, e.g.: .....remove catheter and disconnect umbilicals from catheter...
Is there a Danish translation for "umbilical" or can I use the English term? And if I use the English term, what would umbilical be in plural? Umbilicals or umbilicaller?
Any help would be very much appreciated.

navlestreng
The Gyldendals ordbogs translation of umbilical is navlestreng. Thist is a Latin word, so you always can use that. In the book Anatomi og fysiologi, laerebog for sygeplejestuderende bruger de both the Latin word and the Danish word.
I hope this will help.
